From the ashes of the amazing utarid orbit cinta benjamin is a new, harsh and destructive band from malaysia playing fast music with breaks everywhere and heartbeating screams. they put together this amazing looking demotape with songs recorded as intense as possible these days. so, what utarid started in the vein of orchid and reversal of man seems to be developed even further by orbit cinta benjamin, going a bit more in the direction of bucket full of teeth with their harsh sounds. the guys are working hard on new songs such that there will be a lovely release of them on react with protest records sometime in 2007. |

REVIEWS
"ok, i never paid any real attention to the malaysian screamo-scene. in fact, how could i have? the only band to ever break any large waves onto europe was UTARID, who toured europe once (didn't go to austria) and have since disbanded. but apparently, the scene down there is alive and kicking. the UTARID myspace-site lists five bands that features ex-members of this band. one of them, happens to be ORBITCINTA BENJAMIN. to say it with one short sentence: OCB skyrocket where UTARID left off. this tape features four songs and if this is just the demo outing i'm very much looking forward to their future offerings. not that this tape is bad, on the contrary... it is just plain fucking awesome. i've been rocking it in my tape portable since i bought it and it doesn't get old. and that seriously was two months ago. the four songs are rather short offerings and are very emotional screamo stuff. akin to all the italian and french stuff you all love to clap your hands to. the standout track has to be ''choke / strangle / cake'' with it's awesome spoken word part that drifts off into a chaotic clap-and-scream-along frenzy as the repeated shouting of the song title's three words continues. if you imagine that song played live in front of an enthusiastic audience it could seriously take on fucking ''tigersuit'' dimensions. as soon as this band comes over to tour, count me in. this is - hands down - the tape of the year. did i already mention the awesome 100% d.i.y. artwork?"
