it has been a while again and we are happy to announce a new release : the
PIRI REIS - ritma lp is finally out after a year in the making! 10 songs -
whirlwind chaotic emoviolence or screamo ( before it became another term for
post rock or worse! ) with a 12 page booklet - give it a listen here :

besides the lack of interest from pressing plants for smaller labels it has
also become ridiculously expensive to produce vinyl records. we as a label are
up to a point where we questions our effort to work on vinyl releases
furthermore. dont get me wrong - we still love having these silly plates
circling around our tables while having a proper artwork to look at BUT from
our standpoint it looks like this becomes more and more a collectors item that
is less and less affordable for alot of people and therefore becomes also more
unfit for diy punk / hardcore. we are thinking of alternatives for sure.

CMAR 2023 - we are about to start working this out . fingers crossed. we will
keep you updated!

so far , lets keep enjoying our freedoms and summer - but still be thought-
and careful! stay healthy

dear punks and friends …

its been a while. we are slowly settling in at our new headquarter here in
borg!holzhausen. love that we can either be in town or nearly alone in the
woods within ten minutes by foot. also cutting ways to work and school in half
helps as well in not missing p.loh at all. only downer will be that there is
no chance to have the final cry me a river in our garden again... but as the
covid situation still does not really allow a safe and inclusive fest, this
does not really strike as a hard regret.

speaking of CRY ME A RIVER FEST – we decided we do not want to plan it for
2022 cause there are still the same concerns about it as the last years – even
if it might be legally possible to do it we can not guarantee that everyone
that wants to be part of it actually can be … therefore and because of unknown
financial aspects of a fest to come we decided to ask you to either take your
money back or allow us to donate it ( pro refugees organisation / people in
need connected to the fest, diy scene ).

the last chapter of the fest is not done – but we are waiting for better vibes
to make it happen the way it deserves to be.

on other news : the PIRI REIS 12“ is still in the making.. ridiculous long
waiting times for smaller labels at pressing plants is standard these times
unfortunately. a new estimated release date would be end january... it ll be
worth the wait!

dearest punks & friends,

with all the craziness around these times we just noticed we have the 20th
anniversary of the label ?! the "about life in a dead world" compilation 12"
saw the light of day on the 20th of march 2001 as the first official release
by react with protest records. this started a journey that made us what we
are today, we met so many interesting people and places, forged soo many
friendships, it made us traveling around the world and kept our love for diy
punk / hardcore strong. we can not put in words how important all the bands,
people and labels we worked with were and are till today. as pathetic as it
might sound but "... life in a dead world" is exactly what you all provided
for us! thanks for all the precious moments that made us grow - we love
you.

there are not to many news around the label these days. the PIRI REIS
testpress is approved and the 12" will hopefully see the day of light in june.

for everyone who might be interest we are hosting an online "hangout" CRY ME A
RIVER themed on the 26th of june. we ll stream or upload a movie consisting of
recent live/ practise room shots from bands that would otherwise play the
festival and open a bunch of (video) chat rooms to at least virtually come

Dear punks, beloved friends,

how is everyone doin? I hope y´all still hangin in there! Can not offer
you much comforting words these days BUT at least we got some new stuff
coming up that might brighten your mood a little...

we worked on a new release with the emo/ screamo fanatics from zegama
beach records and middle man records, whose shawn decker is once again
involved in what i would call the least fastest and most melodic
recordings i really grown to love since a long time. LACRIMA consists of
people known for their passion when it comes to intense emotional music
and created a 7inch that would fit right in with the great ones in the
early 2000s, like RAEIN, LA QUIETE or FUNERAL DINER. Here is a video of
one of the songs here or on facebook. This is ready for preorder now and will
be shipped in about two weeks!

The PIRI REIS LP is beeing pressed as i write this. Hopefully this will
see the light of day in early april .. co released with moment of
collapse and zegama beach records.

As most of you probably already expected – this years CRY ME A RIVER
FEST will be postponed once again. We do just not see how we should plan
this, especially since there are so many international friends and bands
involved who we want to have the change to be part of it. As last year
we offer you:

* to keep your reservation spot for next year,

* get your money back

* donate money for people / bands / diy projects in need

if we dont hear from you – we just keep you on the reservation list. As
last year – people who donate money will be added to a priority list for
next years fest spots...

how are y all holding up? i hope this finds you well. dont really know
what to write - everythings so surreal and complex ... stay home if you
can - help prevent the total collapse of the health care systems ... but
i know thats a privilege many do not have. so please take care of
yourselves out there! we reset the bandcamp prices again ( i dont really
keep up with that too often ) so it is free again - go crazy on sweet
music if you need something :) . if you think about donating money,
please do so directly to the bands that need it!

for all of you vinyl nerds - the REPUBLIC OF DREAMS / ALLES BRENNT split
7" is out now! all overseas punks will have to wait a week or two longer
until nevin IFB records gets his share . we will offer all react with
protest releases for cost + whatever you can spare for everyone that is
financially affected by the current situation - get in touch and we will
work something out! it would be to hard to change the whole webstore
based on that - so write me - i have time to spare these days anyway :) .

the next big point on our agenda is the situation around CRY ME A RIVER
FEST . we do not want to make a decision yet but we would want to make
sure that all our ( international ) friends will have have the
possibilty to attend - and with the current situation of border closings
and all, it doesnt look too good. so far there isnt a sign that the
situation will improve soon and the possibility to postpone the fest for
at least a couple of month ( or a year ) is likely... anyway i can not
wait to make it the best party we have every done after all of this!

loads is happening at the records front - unfortunately very slowly since the majors smell profit in reissuing some of "their" greatest hits on vinyl again. needless to say that small punk presses arent that profitable compared to that and need to wait a "bit" longer for the pressing of some black gold.

anyways the CLOUD RAT qliphoth 12" is finally out just in time for their tour thats about to start on the 20th of June at the great Kiel Explode Fest. get your copy now or pick one up at one of their shows!

we are taking preorders now for the TENTACLES 7" - it will ship in about two

berlin.
both shows will be with the awesome LANDBRIDGE - go see em if you have the
chance!
early october RESURRECTIONISTS will be on the road with DELOS for a couple
of shows ( frankfurt, erlangen, wien and leipzig) - hope to see some of you
along the way!


the MERKIT tape is still delayed since everyone involved is really occupied

last update this year ... hope you re all having some relaxed holidays.

we ll start taking reservations for CMAR 2013 (28. and 29.06.) - we want to get back to the roots a bit and keep it smaller with less bands playing . the bands confirmed so far are : JUNE PAIK, GENTLE ART OF CHOKIN, RESURRECTIONISTS, JUNGBLUTH, LICH, ME AND GOLIATH, PLANKS, LENTIC WATERS, GRINDING HALT, REPUBLIC OF DREAMS and HAMMERS ... we re waiting for a confirmation of another band and there might be one more band but that s about it! don t send any band offers please as we have already said no to alot of lovely people which we would have loved to have at the fest under different circumstances ...

something i ve been thinking about for some time now should finally happen early 2013 - the MERKIT discography tape. we re still figuring out the details but this will be more than a tape - it s friendship and it s a message ... mean fast hardcore doesn t have to be played by assholes - hardcore yuppies ... get fucked!

new JUNE PAIK material should go to press january / february to be banned on 10" or 12" before their tour in march.

the recordings for the upcoming CLOUD RAT 12" called Moksha are done and will go to press before the end of the year! you can risk an ear or two here and here. also CLOUD RAT will plow their path through europe next march / april. if you wanna set up a show get in touch! you won t regret it!
JUNE PAIK are about to finish their recordings for what seems to become another 10" and will hit the road in march 2013 - they are still looking for shows in northern france, belgium and the netherlands ... help em out - get in touch!

what an exciting summer ... the us tour was just amazing - thank you again and again nevin and aysia and all you other lovely folks that helped and came out to shows etc .. it was a blast! sabines organic store "immergrün" is running and busy - if you re in the area make sure to visit and have vegan breakfast or lunch!

welcome to the last news update for 2011 ... hope you all have some comfortable warm places to be right now . here we go :

delays : the HUNGRY LUNGS preorder edition is finally on the way to us after the regular vinyl is available for two weeks already. all orders waiting for this will be shipped this week!
the BEAU NAVIRE / REPUBLIC OF DREAMS split 7" won t be out this year anymore .. the pressing plant seems to be overstrained at the moment. but this will make a nice start into 2012 - it ll be yours in january for sure then.

we are very happy to welcome canadas TEMPEST to the rwp family. we will be part of a small repress of their debut 12" "passages" - if you haven t heard it yet check it out here : http://forgediniron.ca/album/passages . simply amazing. they are actually writing new material for a possible 12" release in time for their upcoming european tour w/ LENTIC WATERS and LICH in july 2012. let me know if you re interested in helping out with a show and i ll hit you up with the details!

awesome news from other canadian giants : TITAN are currently recording material for an upcoming 2x12" . this will be epic! TITAN will destroy some cities in europe in July 2012 as well. get in touch with us or them if you wanna help out with a show!

PLANKS are currently recordings a shitload of songs, of which some will end up on a split 12" with LENTIC WATERS. expect this for early spring. go and catch both bands live in january w/ RESURRECTIONISTS here : 13.01. Hannover @ Korn and 14.01. Berlin @ Zgk .

LOMA PRIETA and RAEIN will tour in australia beginning new year's eve and running through the first week of 2012. LICH have plans to tour in february 2012 - where exactly is still a secret through :)

finally - finally! the RAEIN il nya pas .. 12" covers have arrived!! customs and a strike at the printing factory made out of 2 weeks almost 5 .. sorry again to all the people whose orders got delayed cause of this .. all packages should arrive the next week ( max the week after for world shipping).

i m about to leave for two shows with RESURRECTIONISTS together with HUNGRY LUNGS ( Magdeburg / Leipzig) .. we ll have the distro with us so come and say hello if you re near by!
the HUNGRY LUNGS 7" will be handed to me at these shows and will be ready to ship on monday!! we still have some preorder copies left ( golden vinyl!)

next release will be the BEAU NAVIRE / REPUBLIC OF DREAMS split 7" -- the covers are beeing cut and prepared at the moment and the master is send to press .. unfortunately the pressing plant is really busy so the release date for this will be sometime in january.

Two years after releasing their one-sided 12" THE GENTLE ART OF CHOKIN' are back with ther first full length. 19 loud and short outbursts between powerviolence, fastcore and thrash with some slower, more rocking parts here and there. As a collaboration between React With Protest, De Graanrepubliek, IFB Records and Flowerviolence this piece of vinyl comes in two different colors with awesome silkscreened covers (glossy black on black!!) the BEAU NAVIRE 12" is at the pressing plant and will be ready for their upcoming tour in june. a beautiful monster!

the GENTLE ART OF CHOKING master was sent to press today - 19 short outbursts between powerviolence, fastcore and thrash! recorded at the tonmeisterei this shit will blow you away!

we got the LICH master for their side of the split 12" with RESURRECTIONISTS last weekend and it s fucking brutal. RESURRECTIONISTS just finished recording and we wait for the final mix .... so hopefully this will be out in early june as well!

VELOZ rerecorded their stuff for the upcoming 7" and this should go to press very soon too! busy times.

time for another update and we have quite a few new releases to be out soon :

DOLCIM new 12" - is recorded and actually beeing masterd. this will go to press asap and will hopefully be out for their tour with MERKIT in june. check their dates!

LOMA PRIETA - Life Less 12" - is recorded and masterd and beeing pressed right now! we ll get our copies at the cmar fest. get your copy from the band while they re touring through europe. check out their dates!

DOLCIM / HAMMERS split 7"- HAMMERS finally recorded their stuff and we re discussing artwork at the moment but this should be out before cmar too!

ARSE MOREIRA / RESURRECTIONISTS split 6" - long story short - louise cyphre couldn t make it so RESURRECTIONISTS will join mexicos wildest emoviolence outfit on this split. recordings are done. mixing and mastering the next two weeks and then it goes to press.

TENTACLES Tape - a new amazing us band playing the emoviolence kinda european influenced - and mixed with some metal and lots of passion. this tape will feature their first two demos - and it s "just" on tape cause we clearly cant afford to press it on vinyl - but we fell in love with tape format anyway..

BATTLE OF WOLF 359 / JUNE PAIK split 7" - both bands recorded their stuff already. waiting for the final layout ...

and yes you re right . we can t really afford all these releases so we re waitig for your orders :) !!

time for some news ... the GRINDING HALT / DRAINLAND split 10" is as good as done . in the next week or so .. mark from G.H. / DE GRAAN REPUBLIK takes care of it at the moment. the RESURRECTIONISTS/ BATTLE OF WOLF 359 split 10" is at press right now and should be done in about 10 days ... you can preorder it now . there s a very limited amount of golden printed covers .. this is a split label release with PARADE OF SPECTRES, MOMENT OF COLLAPSE, ASYMMETRIE and 7 DEGREES RECORDS. see both bands on tour in the UK from march the 27th to april the first!

first good news this year :

the JUNE PAIK 7" will be repressed in January - it s at the pressing plant and we re already printing covers! this will be co released with built for friendship records and the band themselves.

the GRINDING HALT / DRAINLAND recordings are sent to press - so this will hopefully be out very soon too!

RESURRECTIONISTS are goin to record their part for the split 10" with BATTLE OF WOLF 359 on the 15th and 16th of January. BOW 359 will enter the studio early February. this split should be ready for their upcoming tour from 26th of March to the 3rd of April. split released with Parade of Spectres and Asymmetrie. RESURRECTIONISTS are still looking for shows on the way to the uk ... get in touch if you re interested!

we have a date set for the Cry Me A River Festival 2010 : 25th and 26th of June. check our myspace site for lineup and updates!

It s time for an update and we have some nice news for you :

TITAN is finishing their layout finally for the Colossus 12" and it ll go to press next week then . We re kinda tight with money this time so we ll offer you colored Vinyl for preorders this time . The record will be 10 euros + postage. get in touch if you want one! we re tryin to get this ready for their release party on november the 13th ... for more details watch their myspace site.

KADDISH finished their recordings and will hopefully have the layout done in the next couple of days also - this should be out as a 12" this year still. Prepare for some awesome tunes between circle takes the square and older emo stuff - intense and beautiful.

it s time for another update and spreading sweet news for the first real summer days over here!

We have a bunch of releases coming up in June and July

• the BATTLE OF WOLF 359 LP is at the pressing plant and should be ready to ship in two weeks!
• hopefully we will have the MERKIT / RESERRECTIONISTS split 7" here at the same time... Nevin / IFB Records is actually taking care of the press action in the states at the moment : THANKS!
• DANSE MACABRE just finished recording 9 track for their upcoming 10" which sound amazing and will blow you away! mp3s coming soon!
• THE EMO ANNIHILATION 6" is repressed in a small quantity so here s your chance again to get a piece of that pie!
• the JUNE PAIK / TITAN split LP is also repressed and available again

Later this year : TITAN - colossus 12" and hopefully the LOUISE CYPHRE / ARSE MOREIRA split will be realized in one way or another ... and if we re not complete broke after that the plan is to repress the BURIED INSIDE - suspect symmetry with a new artwork for their upcoming tour in fall 2009 ...

hope you all made it safe into 2009 - here are some news :

the THIRD MEMORY 12" is at the pressing plant right now and will be available for their upcoming european tour early february -> myspace site you can preorder it now! it ll be 8 euros + postage!

i ll pick up the BATTLE OF WOLF 359 Master in one week personaly - so i hope it ll go to press this month and will be availble in february then!

and we expect the DOLCIM 12" to be ready for March / April 2009 so you ll have enough time to warm up for their awesome live shows on their european tour in May/June 2009.

the CRY ME A RIVER FESTIVAL will be the weekend 26. and 27. of June - probably in Versmold / Peckeloh again! Bands are already confirmed and we don t need anymore bands! sorry. we re back from another mini vacation with some news and updates ...

first of all we re really happy to be part of the KEITZER - as the world burns Vinyl Version - which should go to press next week! This is a fucking grindcore monster with a big shot of old Bremen style ala Mörser and Systral.

the JUNE PAIK 10" got delayed twice cause of some layout problems ... if we get the ok on Monday it ll hopefully be out in about two weeks!

we finally have two new records out :

LOMA PRIETA - Last City 12"
Short and sweet, thats how I would describe Loma Prieta's Last City . This Oakland CA band plays speedy hardcore/screamo jams with impressive technicality, running through time signatures and epic melodies with incredible ease. As the mathematical riffs swirl around cymbal crashing and rapid fire rhythms, the howling vocals provide the emotional release for all the tension that's built up. The occasional piano melody and gentle guitar parts help balance things out as well.

GRINDING HALT - Sprookjeshof 12"
Grinding Halt has ex Shikari and ex Last Mile members in them. Overall they're pretty heavy with some faster parts. The slower parts remind of Dystopia maybe, the faster parts more of His Hero is Gone... over top there s this melancholic / dark atmosphere ... killer!

we re more then sad to inform you about the dead of BOLZ´N ! they ll be missed. the recorded another 10 tracks of grind and noise that ll hopefully be released in the future as a mall pressing probably by the band itself.

SINGAIA recorded their songs for the split with BATTLE OF WOLF 359. if we have the final mix you ll get an mp3 asap. BOW 359 is going to record songs for this split and more in january.

the COMADRE / TRAINWRECK split 12" will be repressed in about two weeks .... also HEART OF FIRE still has copies - go and get some now!

there will be a repress of the LA QUIETE 10" early next year. Michele is going to print the covers for this at his studio. It s going to be rad!

hey punks and friends,

back from vacation and some news for you! first of all sorry for the orders that still haven t arrived we were totally busy when we left and couldn t make it to the post office that day. all orders will be send the next hours!!

BATTLE OF WOLF 359 and SINGAIA are going to record their songs for the split 7" this month! so hopefully we ll have the split out in early november! mp3s will be posted asap!

we re sorry to let you know that SL-27 will disband at the end of the year! here s a statement from Jeroen:

"I told the guys of the band that i would stop playing bass at the end of this year, here's why:
SL-27 has never been a well oiled machine, but the last couple of years have been an all time low from which i don't see recovery.
It's been hard enough to get together to rehearse, due to our busy personal schedules, let alone confirm shows.
We never had a steady gig calendar, so if you need to cancel or decline two thirds of the offers, moral drops.
We all had varied musical taste, with a common point: the music of the band. I think i have always been a bit of an outsider, because i didn't listen to similar music that much.
I did however discover a lot since i joined the band and made an effort to appreciate it.
I guess i've seen it now and i'm ready to let it go. It simply isn't my cup of tea.
I have absolutely no regrets and i always enjoyed - and still do - playing the music immensely. I had an amazing time of meeting people who i never would have met and seeing places i would have never seen if i hadn't played in this band.
Thank you all, thank you SL-27."

the last show is planned to be in december - before they would like to play some german shows on the 16-17-18 november. the 18th will probably take place in the LALA HAUS Versmold if you want to set up a show on the other two days please get in touch!

i m just back from tour with JUNE PAIK and BATTLE OF WOLF 359. it was amazing and i hope we can have that package touring the rest of europe soon! thanks for everyone that helped out with the tour, came to the shows and gave food and space to sleep! it s greatly appreciated!

today we picked up the covers for the JUNE PAIK / TITAN split 12" so it s officially available now for wholesale and trade! please get in touch! we also have some tour editions left for mailorder only!

the TRAINWRECK / COMADRE split 12" is finally out and ready to ship! the covers look amazing! the TOWERS will be send the next days also!

we have done some new REACT WITH PROTEST shirts - two colored CANDYMALS vomit print - 30 made so get it while it s hot!

i got the TITAN and the JUNE PAIK master cds today and they sound amazing! prepare for a blast! expect the split 12" to be out in September!

HER BREATH ON GLASS canceled the tour - but KHERE are still goin so please support them .. there are also still dates missing around berlin/hannover/köln so if you can help out get in touch!

TITAN had to canceld the first european tour with JUNE PAIK - they plan to come next year . JUNE PAIK will play their shows of the tour mainly UK.

The new CEASE UPON THE CAPITOL 12" is out and can be ordered now! This turned out to be their most awesome stuff even if it s a bit different from their last album... check it out!
We ll be also part of the upcoming CEASE UPON THE CAPITOL / THIRD MEMORY split 7" coming very soon!

Just got the testpress of the SL-27 Ep and it sound cool! Be prepared for real EMO-VIOLENCE .. think of potraits of past and combat wounded veteran playing the same show at the same time ;) !! out in a week !

Finally the TOWERS LP Covers will be made within the next two weeks! Sorry for all people waiting for too long now!

We re just waiting for the TRAINWRECK / COMADRE covers to send out the first packages! Hopefully in about a week! COMADRE just started their us tour - see the dates section for more infos! TRAINWRECK will join em for some dates in the states too!

TITAN already recorded a new song for a split 12" with JUNE PAIK - which should be out for JUNE PAIKs UK tour in september - more infos coming soon!

TOWERS finished an awesome tour yesterday. thanks for everyone that helped out with a show, place to sleep, gave food etc. you re awesome! so all tour copies of the LP on white are sold. i ll get about 30 copies with the tour cover and lim. green vinyl in about a week - so if you don t have that monster already make sure you get one of those copies . the regular covers and press is coming in three weeks then finally [hopefully]. there are some shirts left from the tour - you can order them at the distro section soon.

CEASE UPON THE CAPITOL will be on tour in europe from the 22nd of june to the 10th of august. if you wanna help out with a show ask for details!

TOWERS are still playin shows in europe so go and support them if you have the chance. they re intense live! i m not sure about the offical release date for their regular LP - it s pressed but they re still in the us and the covers are made at the moment ... you can get that limited tour edition from TOWERS on one of their shows on white vinyl and limited screenprinted cover! here s a video clip from an uk show if you re interested.

great news for the TRAINWRECK split. this will sadly no longer happen with BURIAL YEAR. but TRAINWRECK found new friends in the awesome buddies in COMADRE while they played a couple of show with them last week! so i m proud to let you know that there will be a TRAINWRECK / COMADRE split lp to be released in late june!! TRAINWRECK will tour with COMADRE in the us then!

CEASE UPON THE CAPITOL almost finished their new recordings for the next 12" to be released for their tour in europe from the 23rd of june to the 12th of july. if you re interested in settin up a show please get in contact!

people keep asking for CRY ME A RIVER TICKETS already so we deceided to start selling them in april. this will be 8 euros for friday and 9 for saturday - both for 15 euros. more infos for the fest at -> myspace . bands please don t ask - we re more than full! sorry.

we finally have the TITAN 12" and the DANSE MACABRE / AM I DEAD YET split 7" in our hands and they sound awesome! there are some delays on the layout for both records but we ll have them out for the 27th of january!

the almighty TRAINWRECK are recording their songs for the split LP with BURIAL YEAR at the moment, can t wait to get those tunes in our hands!! also TOWERS entered the studio already and recorded their upcoming full length! mp3s will be up soon!!

i'm proud to introduce you the newest member of the rwp family -> TITAN. Titan has ex members from the screamo and noise bands I SPOKE and PANSERBJORNE. expect heavy dark hardcore between isis, envy and uranus. their debut 12" will be released by us in november!

the danse macabre / am i dead yet split 7" should be out around the same time. i got both masters here - just waiting for the artwork!

the danse macabre / her breath on glass split 7" is running well and will probably not be repressed because of the nearly death experiences of the band during printing the records :) so get your copy soon!

Back From holiday and back to business - the first 200 copies of the danse macabre / her breath on glass 7" are gone already and i hope i ll get the other 400 early next week! thanks to everyone that helped out with that tour! all are save back!
the bands and us are busy working on that upcoming dvd we re working on with our friends from nimbus module. expect an awesome compilation of clips and lots of documetaries like from the last cry me a river and lots more stuff! there ll also be both the emo armageddon and the emo apocalypse records on there for all you suckers who dont own this awesome machine that plays the even better vinyl records :)
michele from candymals has uploaded the original booklet for the emo apocalypse - so if you want you can download it HERE. trust me its worth it!!
