age of collapse | deteriorate 7" | 3.00 € |
Age of Collapse have crafted a very experimental take on crust; blurring lines and sometimes toppling over into completely different musical realms. Their sound is personified by large, crushing distortion, chaotic tempo changes and haunting, reverb drenched cleans. Fast paced punk inspired riffs meld with harmonizing guitars more traditionally reserved for NWOBHM. Whether it be brutal, passionate or furious, Age of Collapse have carved their own niche and sound into the hardcore genre.

dark circles / abstracter | split 12" | 10.00 € |
Abstracter is a blackened sludge-doom band with crust influences hailing from Oakland CA, founded in 2010 by Robin Kahn and Mattia Alagna with the intent of creating the darkest, bleakest, and most punishing music they could come up with. Influenced by legendary bands like Swans, Amebix, Godflesh, Corrupted, His Hero Is Gone, and Blut Aus Nord. Abstracter has shared a stage with bands like Bell Witch, Mass Grave, Noothgrush, Buried At Sea, Unearthly Trance, Acephalix, Sleep, Graves At Sea and many more, presenting the world with their own brand of apocalyptic, hopeless and darkness-fueled music driven by crushing, grim, and dissonant guitar work, apocalyptic themes and lyrical content, and absolutely blood-freezing and plague-ridden atmospheres. Dark Circles is a three piece band from Montreal, Canada who formed in early 2013. Dark Circles play a dark, metallic, and crust tinged style of hardcore. Musically, Dark Circles can be loosely compared to bands such as Hexis, Svffr, Holy, and other-like minded bands. On their side of the split, Dark Circles offer up four tracks of brutal as fuck sounding blackened/crust tinged modern hardcore.

deathgrave / augurs | split 7" | 5.00 € |
Deathgrave is a new project from Amber Asylum bassist Fern and Greg Wilkinson, the master sound engineer behind Oakland's Earhammer Studios and bassist in Brainoil (ex-Graves At Sea, ex-Laudanum) who's stepped away form his recent doom dealings to spit out some truly virulent grind. The tone alone will knock you on your ass, and coupled with Augurs' nasty, sludge-encrusted black grind, this split might just be one of 2015's best underground gems.

MORO MORO LAND is the absolutely terrifying tenebris. A furious number with black-metal-esque bile and a palpable sense of anger. The truth is that they deliver an ultraviolent music in the wake of great bands like CELESTE, SHORA or DEATHSPELL OMEGA. Even if the point isn't to produce the most inovative shit, MORO MORO LAND manages to blow everything on its way. No silence, no compromise.

"Mrtex has a veteran of Yaphet Kotto, Makara, Jenny Piccolo, and Anasazi and all these shine through. They drop two tracks, one being a perfect combination of swirling emo-violence with the noisy harshness of Makara. Their second track is a gorgeous post-rocky haunted emo-dirge. People's Temple Project is a time warp straight back to 1996 Ebullition and Mountain Records comps. Everything about those 90's emo bands that grabbed me at 17 and still has me at nearly 40 years old is here. Screenprinted cover and hand-stamped center labels."

savage realm | nocturnal savagery tape | 4.00 € |
Lich (RIP) already did the whole ‘effortlessly heaviest band in the UK’ thing for a few years, and now four members have decided to give it another shot as Savage Realm, who are resuming business by swapping out some of the crust/sludge leanings for hazy, otherworldly, hideously detuned death metal. The woozy tremolo melodies in ‘The Sea Of Claws’ and ‘So As Below’ sound like they’re being melted, and although they play loose in parts, it’s a case of giving you enough rope to slip around your neck before snapping tight with grinding, mechanical indifference. The guitars plummet down in to a gloopy murk so thick they don’t need copious amounts of distortion, so far down that you might miss the devastating beatdowns that they sneak in in between grim blasts and cavernous atmospherics. Every one of the four tracks is saturated with grisly character and conviction, and it’s hard to fathom who would dislike this, such is the quality.

somerset | king of the lapiths 12" | 8.00 € |
Sømerset hail from Münster and play some chunky, stompy, screamy hc that touches base with Cloud Rat, Punch and Left For Dead - a promising set of influences that result in a fairly decent racket. Despite the heaviness it's not an all-out slugfest - there are a couple of prettier breakdowns which, when coupled with the strangled-duck vocals, actually remind me of Carlisle or the first Spirit Of Versailles 7".

canyons / creepers | split 12" | 11.00 € |
… Canyons play a loud, volatile, and heavy style of post hardcore with a great noise rock vibe to their sound. Creeper is a four piece band from Toronto, On who formed in 2009. Creeper play a similar style of music, but take a bit of a different approach, combining crust and metallic hardcore influences to their sound. Musically, Canyons call to mind bands that include Bleeding Kansas, Engineer, and Kiss It Goodbye, but add a unique modern twist that keeps the band sounding original and fresh. On their side of the split, Canyons offer up six songs of dirty, scuzzy, sludgey noise rock tinged post hardcore. On the second side of the split, Creeper offer up five songs of crust tinged/metallic hardcore with a great noise rock current that calls to mind bands like No Omega and Oathbreaker if those bands smoked weed and listened to a lot of Botch. Overall, this is a phenomenal album and both bands offer up top notch material for this split. Seriously, I can't get enough of this album. Highly recommended! Enjoy! - from manic compression blog

canyons / tigon / foreign treaters | split 12" | 11.00 € |
"From the hot-boxed catacombs of mathcore-meets-stoner-metal, comes the heaviest 3-way split this year from Missouri's Canyons and Foreign Theaters, and the Bay Area's Tigon. Sharing influences that range from Coalesce and Kylesa to Black Sabbath and The Melvins, these three ""math-sludge"" virtuosos deliver a formidable testament to how grimey, raw, and technical the recesses of hardcore can go.
Although all three bands wrote and recorded the record independently of each other, ""Can't Have Nothin' Nice"" shares a common theme of the flaws of the human-condition, and calls for a serious self-evaluation through rigorous (and often ruthless) introspection.
For fans of Coalesce, Engineer, The Jesus Lizard, Botch, and brutality. "
