piri reis | ritma 12" | 15.00 € |
REPRESS "Malaysian screamowizards PIRI REIS finally return with their first LP. After a demotape and several splitreleases, the band took their time to write 10 new songs that will be rleased under the title ""Ritma"". What started with bands such as Utarid, Quantis and Orbit Cinta Benjamin lead to what Piri Reis is presenting on this release. A legacy of a long lost spirit that reignites with these 10 sparks of passiondriven screamohymns, that also took a lot of influences of the european and american screamoera.
The melodic part of this band is such a key to their sound, always catchy, mainly driven and guided by marrow deep hiting vocals. Ritma is a growing and earcatching release of dedicated passion and a return to traditional virtues.
If you wanna fall back in time when bands such as Neil Perry, Tristan Tzara or Orchid set sails to crash your stereo, there you go."

there are bands that have this one bombastic record and are never able to come close to it again .. NOT tempest – they made a huge advancement without loosing their sound or uniqueness. They sound even heavier on these recordings although the songs are more complex and very beautifully arranged. Angry and devastating - this isnt just another record. It is a statement!
tentacles | ambivalence 12" | 10.00 € |
this is even heavier and more destructive than their cogita mori 7” . ambivalence features 7 trackes between epic heaviness and devastating speed, brutal vocals and loads of beauty in the guitar work. one of the most underrated bands these days. a 12” masterbeast!

"heavy chaotic emoviolence from texas not unlike shikari! or like david would say :
...this record will have some super-heavy riffs and combine them with lulls of melodic, atmospheric gloom.... some insane double-bass and doesn't really focus as much on breakdowns as it does on pure speed... which basically means that the vocalist screams like a fucking banshee....

planks / lentic waters | split ( white vinyl ) 12" | 8.00 € |
The A side shows Planks taking yet another step away from their Hardcore roots. In the vein of their last output The Darkest Of Grays, they deliver their unique blend of gloomy, melody ridden, downtuned
heaviness that incooperate aspects of Doom, Black Metal and Dark Wave - but this time they even go one step further and take on Grunge methodologies in Leave And Never Come Back. All they did on their last
records finds its way into these three tracks but everything seems more organized, filtered, more mature and in better sound. Lentic Waters' B side of the split delivers the first three new songs after their
impressive first s/t LP. The still fairly new band took the time on the road during the weeks of tours they spent, to distinguish what they are capable of and what they do best. Those tracks bring their
facets of grinding emoviolence, double-bass frenzy and super catchy melodies. Also the sound of the recording improved and therefore offers the listener a better inside into what this band is able to. Three
string instruments that play three different things at the same time just to have one big harmony in the end. Melodies shattered by ravishing outbursts to flow into massive, epic endings. It should be
interesting to see how much more this band has to offer in the future seeing the transition they undertook in such short time. The Split LP comes with drop-dead gorgeous, silver printed artwork by Pierre
Johansson on heavy cardboard.
titan | burn ( black vinyl ) 2x12" | 12.00 € |
Hell yes. Here's the new Titan LP. Over two years in the making, Burn features ten new songs from Titan. Titan is a metallic post hardcore, sludge, and metal band from Toronto, Canada. Titan draws influences
from bands such as Union Of Uranus and His Hero is Gone and merge them with an Isis type of drone. Burn is Titan's latest release and should please any fan of heavy music. Definitely a must for people who
enjoy bands like Cursed, Tragedy, and slower doom bands such as Isis.... Highly recommended!

tempest | passages 12" | 10.00 € |
damn i love canada! i fell in love with (diy) hardcore through bands like uranus and one eyed god prophecy ... again with buried inside and titan .... you know bands that have this heartfelt passion mixed with frustration and anger! so this is the newest eruption from canada called TEMPEST. and i m in love again ...
Passages takes the listener through bitter and emotional crust, a trip that encompasses despondency, vitriolic rage and some really great sound samples. It's not a long record - in fact it's probably the perfect length, coming in at just over 24 minutes. The 7 tracks are of reasonable length but every single one is attention grabbing, not to mention the 7 minute epic self titled track that closes the album. I don't really have anything bad to say about this. Every moment of it is excellent, it certainly doesn't overstay its welcome and it has a great deal of replay value.
"Dark Hardcore" to a tee, mixing aspects of Hardcore, Black Metal, and Crust in a unique blend of chaotic fury."
